This newsletter delivers pep talks from your canine best friend.
Hi there, human!
(Picture me waving hello with my paw and trying not to drool on the keyboard.)
If you’re like most humans I’ve sniffed, you’ve got a bit of a challenge (or lots of challenges) in front of you. Maybe you’re writing a book, or starting a business, or finishing a degree. Maybe you’re raising kind mini-humans, or completing a mural, or snagging a promotion.
Maybe you’re just trying to make it through another ruff rough week with your body and soul more-or-less intact.
And sometimes it’s a struggle. It’s often a struggle. My own human has such sparkly, life-changing dreams, but even though she’s incredible, she loses faith in herself more often than I lick my own bum (and that’s saying something).
At those times, sometimes she needs a nap. Sometimes she needs a snack.
Mostly, she needs a pep talk. Someone to believe in her, to remind her of the good things about herself, to reflect her awesomeness back to her so she can pick herself up and keep going through all the learning curves, messy middles, and obstacles in her way.
These pep talks are for her. And they’re for you, too.
One piece of great advice I’ve heard humans pass around is: talk to yourself like you would talk to your best friend.
In this newsletter you’ll find all the things your loyal, supportive best friend would say to you.
Sometimes the difference between failure in success is having someone who believes in you.
Maybe you have that in real life. Maybe you don’t.
Either way, I hope this newsletter helps you work towards your dreams.
I believe in you.
I want to be the best friend waiting by the door, excited to hear all about your endeavors (and go for a walk!). I want to reflect your own strengths back to you and help you strategize around your weaknesses. I want to help you fight off doubt and power through the hard parts.
I’m in your corner. Whatever it is you’re working towards—whether it’s creating A Thing, caring for your family (no matter how many legs they have), or becoming a better you—I want to make one thing clearer than the water in my bowl (although it honestly could use a refresh anyway):
You can do this.
Whatever “this” is, I’m here to cheer you on. And I want to hear from you in the comments of each post: What is it you’re currently gnawing on? What is it you’re struggling with? Don’t be a stranger.
Let’s build something amazing, one rawhide chew at a time.
Do one nice thing for yourself today: hit “Subscribe”
