Your plans are so big, human - bigger than the biggest rawhide chew I've ever seen. Bigger than a Bernese Mountain Dog, which: wow!
You've been working so hard on your dreams, in your day-to-day, for your family.
Today you're tired, but part of your silly human brain is telling you not to pause, not to let up, not to stop or even slow down, not for a moment.
Human, you deserve rest.
You're not a robot, any more than I am a robot dog. (And even those need to be recharged!)
I need rest, and you'd never tell me to keep running, to keep chasing the frisbee, to the point of exhaustion or beyond, would you?
No. You would let me lay down on my cushy dog bed (or better yet, the couch!) and nap for a while, warm by the fire. You'd tell me how good I am, and how I deserve a nice long rest.
You deserve rest too.
Treat yourself at least as well as you'd treat your dog.
Your body will thank you. Your mind will thank you. Your dreams will thank you.
You don't have to 'earn' the right to rest - you have already earned it. There will be plenty of time for work later, but you'll find that you have more energy to bring your best self to that work, and to your family, if you rest now and often.
I'll even make room on the couch for you.
