Go Where Your Heart Leads

It won't steer you wrong.

I hear it, human.

I hear everyone telling you what to do.

Your boss, social media, your family, that box you stare at every night, society in general. They tell you what you should do. How you should spend your time. What you must do to pay rent. To be a success. To be happy. To get a promotion. To make your progenitor-humans proud. I hear all that just as you do.

You know what else I hear?

Not just how it’s beating. My floppy ears are so sensitive I can hear what your heart is saying. It knows what it wants. Maybe it’s what everyone else wants, or some of that, but maybe not.

Maybe it’s something else entirely. A dream. To travel, to write a book, to change careers, to move somewhere else.

It’s scary, to take the leap. When you have a dream no one else can see because it doesn’t exist yet. But you’ve got to explore what your heart is telling you, or you’ll never know what could have been.
